Alicia Daniel

Alicia Daniel was born in New Jersey in 1989. She migrated to Barbados in 1996 and obtained her Associates Degree in Fine Arts in 2006 and her Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts, with an emphasis in painting at the Barbados Community College in 2011. In 2016 she has exhibited her work in the ‘Things Could Get Messy: Artists Supporting K-12 Art Programs’ exhibition at the Reuben Saunders Art Gallery in Wichita, Kansas. Alicia is currently pursuing her Master’s Degree at the Wichita State University in Wichita, Kansas.
Alicia’s work involves the concept of expatriation and explores the idea of leaving one’s homeland and emigrating, adapting and thriving in another in order to form a new identity.
