The WSU School of Art, Design and Creative Industries is one of the longest standing programs in the nation. WSU proudly graduates artists and designers whose work energizes our cultural landscape and the economy. Graduates of the school become accomplished teachers, successful entrepreneurs, innovative designers and engaged artists, each contributing to the creative communities of Wichita and beyond.

The name of the school – now embracing the importance of art and design’s relationship to community, business and industry – reflects our belief in creativity as a pillar of everyday life. As we look to the future, many of our existing strengths in studio arts, art education, graphic design and art history will be enhanced by applied learning in museum studies, art and technology, sustainable design and more. This growth in our program will ensure that WSU is setting trends and leading the way in the world of contemporary art and design.
